i flew up to sydney last week for the once upon exhibition opening. it was such a nice little holiday, i giggled with sarah mcneil, caught a ferry with the super sweet dawn tan, watched a documentary on gigantism with sophia (thankyou for lending me your floor!) and flew back to melbourne with a notebook full of ideas. there were some lovely pieces in the show, my favourites were four beautifully embroidered mask collages by laura mckellar for the ugly duckling.

a silly bird flew into my window and bumped his head. i'm not sure what kind he is, if i had more hours in the day i would learn their names, and flowers too..

a little book arrived on my doorstep today, the photo album by frankie. my 'sweet' photo makes a small appearance :)

i've been setting aside a little bit of book money every week for the past year, and i think it might be time to spend it!! i'm putting together a list of candidates and i wondered if you have any lovely book suggestions?
